Decker & Hayes is a radio serial about a pair of private detectives, Stella Decker & Macy Hayes, who are also lovers. They live in Parlortown, a city that's fallen upon hard times and has tumbled into poverty and crime. In Spring of 2005, I came up with the idea for this serial and began it, but then we wrote the series round-robin style, a different writer per week. It was thrilling writing a mystery where no one really knew the outcome until the last episode was written. It went over so well that we returned for a second series. The series wraps up with its third series, completing the tale of the two crime-fighting lovers. The original scripts for the series can be found here. All episodes are in mp3 format, at 128 kbps. *A note about music- aside from the theme song, these tracks are presented without music. When played over the air, I tend to play movie soundtracks in the background, to enhance the mood. That music was, of course, owned by someone else. Feel free to experiment with your own background music! |
Decker & Hayes is a radio serial about a pair of private detectives, Stella Decker & Macy Hayes, who are also lovers. When Tess Nichols comes to them with questions about her husband Jack's murder, they start on an investigation that takes them from the Blue Diner, where someone keeps smashing all the plates, into the dark recesses of Macy Hayes' past. Can either of the duo's partnerships survive this assignment? |

With mysteries coming at them both inside and outside the prison walls, can Stella and Macy weather the storm to be reunited? Or will both of their pasts come nipping at their toes? |

Decker & Hayes is a radio serial about a pair of private detectives, Stella Decker & Macy Hayes, who are also lovers. Unfortunately, even though the duo has been reunited, one of them has been crippled for life. As she attempts to rebuild her life, the pair is hired by Robert Glass, Parlortown's "squeaky clean" Mayor, to find out who's threatening the daughter he doesn't even know he has. This leads the ladies into a journey deep into the secrets of Parlortown and its leaders on both sides of the law in this, the show's final series. |
