ABOUT ME

All Red

by Adjective Noun

All Red - 01-13-04

Our very first song. This song began with Lyn. She had the chorus, lyrics and melody, when we began. She sang them to me and I (Jordan) slapped some chords under them. From there, I wrote the chord progression for the rest of the song, and she made up the melody and lyrics to go over them. This is not the final version of the song- we recorded it the day we wrote the song, mostly so we would not forget it. I played the keyboard and she sang lead, we both joined in for backing. At some point we need to record a better, more finished version with more instruments, but I think we need to write more songs first.

Lyrics:
Silly boy
Maybe you can paint me something
Just don't try
To make it something that will save me
After all
It's hard to love a living woman
From now on
You can airbrush all my bad decisions

I can't let you inside of my head
Sickness, there is none
It's not what you would expect
(I've come undone)
It's just all red

One up stroke
And then one down the back and
Hang me up
Fill me with your inspiration
Tag it quick
Before someone paints over it but
You're not enough
For my artistic criticism

I can't let you inside of my head
Sickness, there is none
It's not what you would expect
(I've come undone)
It's just all red

Paint me a picture, boy
Paint me a picture
Paint me a picture, boy
Paint me a picture
Write me a letter, boy
Write me a letter
Write me a letter, boy
Write me a letter

I can't let you inside of my head
Sickness, there is none
It's not what you would expect
(I've come undone)
It's just all red

Paint me a picture, boy
Paint me a picture
Write me a letter, boy
Write me a letter
Load me a bullet, boy
Load me a bullet
Paint me a picture, boy
And make it good
